Unfortunately, the price query does not usually work in this case, but you can buy the stamp without any problems and view the price via the parcel list (Post - Parcels - Parcel list) with the billing symbol. Parcel stamps that are created before 5 p.m. can be canceled free of charge until 5 p.m. on the day of creation if the stamp is not needed after all.

The individual US states have their own regulations regarding the shipment of alcohol. Some states prohibit this completely for B2C, others have set maximum quantities. Others have no restrictions at all. Below you will find a [[Medium:International_wine_cust.pdf| guide]] for shipping alcohol to the USA.
Shipping to the United States is only possible with '''Expedited''' and '''Express''' service. Please note that for shipping '''outside''' of Germany the field ''Description'' must be filled in (otherwise an error message will appear)! For address details to the USA, the state abbreviation must be entered after the city! This means that the house number is entered as normal in the house number field in the customer file, the ZIP code is entered as normal in the zip code field and the city is entered in the city field; it is important to enter the abbreviation for the state with a space after the city.
In our example, we want to send a parcel to the house number 5019 on North Ocean Boulevard in 33435 Boynton Beach in Florida. The easiest way to proceed is to enter the ZIP code/postal code first, then the program automatically picks the correct city, then you enter the first letters of the street in the Street field and can select the desired street and enter the house number in the next field. The last step is to add the abbreviation of the state with a space to the city name in the City field.
An address could look like this:
N Ocean Blvd 5019
33435 Boynton Beach '''FL'''
United States

With our conditions of DHL we can '''not''' offer you at the moment. shipping rate to foreign countries. Although you can request the parcel stamp price, the customs documents are requested at the latest during the binding purchase, which currently cannot be implemented. For shipping abroad, not the conditions advertised for German domestic shipping apply. Please determine the conditions depending on the service provider according to the following information and pay particular attention to the notes at the bottom of the page.

Creation of the stamp

The stamp is created in exactly the same way as a normal shipping stamp. Just make sure that the appropriate country is selected for the customer's (delivery) address.

Attention: Please inform yourself independently about the respective shipping regulations of the recipient country. This will help you avoid unexpected costs and additional charges. Please be particularly careful with customs documents and taxes, as the recipient will be charged for any costs incurred. Unfortunately, we cannot map these costs for you in the programme, as international shipping is very complex and subject to frequent changes and we are therefore unable to make any binding statements.

Before shipping abroad, please actively inform yourself about the necessary accompanying documents for your parcel and the customs regulations. As a rule, you must attach the proforma or commercial invoice in triplicate visibly to the outside of the parcels when sending them abroad so that they can be cleared through customs. An invoice with the value of the goods (0€ not possible!) is also mandatory for sample shipments or gifts.

Shipping conditions

DPD

With our DPD conditions you can ship within Germany as well as within the EU + Switzerland. International shipping, outside the EU, is not possible. Please use UPS for this. However, DPD often has the most favourable conditions for shipping within the EU.

Note With DPD there are no island surcharges for domestic shipments under our conditions.

Prices

The price enquiry in Winestro.Cloud shows you all basic prices (national, within the EU) for DPD shipments. The prices shown here refer to the Winestro.Cloud DPD conditions, which DPD itself does not have. Please note that there is no price scaling for international shipping and that no express option is available for international shipping.

Addressformat

When shipping abroad with DPD, the formats in which the addresses must be entered may differ. Here you can find an overview of the formats for each country. Please note these in order to successfully create parcel labels for the respective country.

Separate Settlement

Please enquire about the customs regulations and which accompanying documents must be enclosed with the parcel before sending it to Switzerland. Missing customs documents may result in subsequent additional charges. Additional charges may also be incurred for various other reasons. Below you will find an overview as a guide. Please note that this list is only intended as a guide. Actual amounts may differ.

Here is an overview of all possible surcharges at DPD.

UPS

Use the price request in the programme when creating the parcel label. Please select the service "Expedited" instead of "Standard" when shipping abroad, outside Europe. If the price request or creation of the stamp does not work, please send us the address of the foreign customer to be delivered as a screenshot in the attachment of a help ticket or by e-mail. It is also very helpful if you send any error message that may appear. Please also look here under Known error messages.

Here is an overview of the various options:

  • UPS Standard: usually bookable within Europe + GB/England + Schweiz.
(Please take into account that e.g. Cyprus cannot be delivered with this service)
  • UPS Expedited: only bookable for destinations outside Europe, e.g. USA, Japan, China, India, Australia.
  • UPS Express: 'national, euronational and international shipping'
Please fill in the Description field when creating the parcel label if it is a shipment outside of Germany!

Since we receive many enquiries about this: As a rule, we do not produce price lists, especially for UPS and foreign countries, as the different zone divisions and billing bases (volume weight for UPS) are far too complex to be able to depict a concrete and binding pricing in a table.

Nevertheless, you can find a rough classification of the zones here if you want to research this. Please note that this is not a binding classification, but only an approximate snapshot!

Please also note that there may be surcharges for international shipments.

Shipping to England/UK

Shipping to England/UK is possible with Standard, Express and Express early service is possible. Please note that for shipping outside of Germany the field Description must be filled in.

Shipping to the United States /USA

The individual US states have their own regulations regarding the shipment of alcohol. Some states prohibit this completely for B2C, others have set maximum quantities. Others have no restrictions at all. Below you will find a guide for shipping alcohol to the USA.

Shipping to the United States is only possible with Expedited and Express service. Please note that for shipping outside of Germany the field Description must be filled in (otherwise an error message will appear)! This means that the house number is entered as normal in the house number field in the customer file, the ZIP code is entered as normal in the zip code field and the city is entered in the city field; it is important to enter the abbreviation for the state with a space after the city.

DHL

With our DHL conditions you can ship within Germany as well as within the EU. International shipping outside the EU is not possible - please use UPS for this. Although you can also request the parcel stamp price from DHL outside the EU, you will be asked for customs documents at the latest when you confirm your order, which we are currently unable to implement.

Notes on customs

A customs and tax treatment of the parcels and thus the provision of the documents is currently not possible. As a parcel sender, you are responsible for customs clearance yourself, even if you ship via our contracts. Therefore, when shipping to a non-EU country, please remember to provide the appropriate customs documents such as the proforma or commercial invoice. As a rule, these must be visibly attached to the outside of the parcels in triplicate (preferably in transparent delivery note pockets). If you have any questions or uncertainties, for example regarding the required customs documents, the costs incurred for this or the processing, please contact the respective shipping service provider or customs directly.

Frequent problems

Problems with the creation of a foreign stamp

Please read the possible error messages below. If your problem is not listed or if it is still not possible to create a stamp, please write us a ticket and tell us the customer number for which you want to create the stamp and, if possible, the wording of the error message.

Postcode not correct | Country not found

When sending abroad, the country code is often entered in the postcode field. The interface expects both values separately. To create a mark, you must edit the customer data so that the country code is only in the Country code field. You will find the field in the top left-hand corner of the customer's editing screen. The different postcode formats for DPD are compiled for the individual countries here.

Why do I get a subsequent invoice for shipments abroad?

We cannot always determine the exact costs for shipments abroad - the prices and conditions are sometimes too complex for this.

We therefore always debit the minimum amount immediately and advance the rest.
As soon as we have the invoices from the providers, we pass the costs on to you. Only
this way, we can achieve accurate invoicing and full automation, which at the same time
which we can keep prices low at the same time. Re-billing for a shipment can take 1-3 months, depending on the provider.

Notes on shipping to specific countries (collection)

Shipping alcohol to the United Kingdom

Important! For shipping to the United Kingdom, you must place the sticker ADULT SIGNATURE REQUIRED on the package in order for the package to be accepted at the UK customs border. If you do not place the sticker on the parcel, the parcel may be refused and returned for a fee. These stickers are available from Amazon or Ebay (no guarantee). Please also read the article in our blog.

I was able to create a stamp to Ireland, but the DPD courier was unable to scan it. What is the reason for this?

In fact, Ireland is a special case with DPD. According to the DPD website: "If you want to send a parcel to Ireland, we ask you to enter ' 1' as the postcode for Dublin and ' 2' as the postcode outside Dublin, as Ireland does not have a postcode system."

So the best thing to do is to create the address once as a new delivery address and make that fit: 1 or 2 in the postcode field and the actual city identifier with in the city field. This should make it possible to create the stamp and the DPD courier will also be able to use it.

I cannot choose the one address for shipping to GB / UK / England / USA / CA, why?

Addresses

Make sure that the correct country code (GB in our case) is set. In addition, the second part of the city identifier must be written in the field for the city name. So for SO16 3PT, SO16 goes in the postcode field, and 3PT in front of the city in the city field. The actually correct notation "house number comma street" should also be ignored. Street names belong in the street field and house numbers in the house number field behind it, so they are displayed upside down on the stamp for the British.
